A Hybrid Battery ( or ‘Hybrid Battery Pack’ to use the correct term) is made up of several separate individual battery ‘modules’ connected together in series to form a high voltage pack or – ‘Hybrid Battery Pack‘.

GOLDEN RULE:- The whole pack is only ever as good as the weakest or lowest CAPACITY ‘cell-module’ within it.
Each battery ‘cell-module’ contains several individual “cells” inside of it, these are welded together and contained within a continuous plastic or metal casing, these “cells” are integral parts of the ‘cell-module’ & cannot be disconnected from each-other or removed without causing damage to the module. Individual ‘cells’ cannot be tested either outside of a Lab as there is no physical access to them.
Therefore – Before any proper professional COSTING for your “Hybrid Battery Pack” repair can be estimated we MUST know what the “CAPACITY” of each & every ‘module’ is now, voltage measurements taken with Multimeters , Voltmeters or OBD2 Plug-in devices alone DO NOT and CANNOT measure the “CAPACITY” value – the only proper and professional way to find this is to remove the entire “Hybrid Battery Pack” from the car and carry out rigorous testing of each and every single one of the ‘modules’ independently over time.
Within my testing process I also run my own rejuvenation programs which restore as much capacity within the modules as is possible thereby reducing the repair cost for you, these programmes are the result of over ten years of intensive research and testing and are only known to me – I have never shared them.
This whole process will yield a chart of capacity values – (bare in mind that the entire ‘Hybrid Battery Pack’ is only as good as the weakest cell-module within it).
From this information I can tell you the total repair cost by calculating how many modules must be changed for better capacity ones to achieve the length of guarantee you require from 6 months or up-to 2 Years!
I typically give you 4 modules free of charge, each additional module over this is charged at £30 each.
